D.A. Davidson Companies announced today that David Wakefield, a senior executive with extensive experience in the financial services industry, has been named the company’s chief financial officer and a member of D.A. Davidson’s executive leadership team.
Wakefield joins D.A. Davidson from Fidelity Investments, where he worked for the past 20 years in positions of increasing responsibility. He most recently served as Head of Finance & Strategy, Fund Brokerage Operations & Technology, acting as group chief financial officer for Fidelity’s clearing and custody divisions. He began his career as an analyst with Morgan Stanley.
Wakefield holds a Master of Business Administration from F.W. Olin Graduate School at Babson College and a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University.

Wakefield will be based out of the firm’s corporate headquarters in Great Falls, Montana.
