David Wakefield joined D.A. Davidson Companies as Chief Financial Officer in 2026 and leads the company’s finance, accounting, and facilities teams.
Before joining D.A. Davidson, David spent the previous 20 years at Fidelity Investments, where he held positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently, he served as Head of Finance & Strategy, Fund Brokerage Operations & Technology, acting as group chief financial officer for Fidelity’s clearing and custody divisions. He began his career as an analyst with Morgan Stanley.
David earned a Master of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a Bachelor of Arts from Fairfield University.
