James Smith is a trader and joined D.A. Davidson in June 2008 with 13 years of experience in the industry. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, he was employed at Broadpoint Securities as a Managing Director of Sales Trading. James began his Equities career at Fahnestock in Boston in 1995, and was subsequently a Managing Director at Bear Stearns and Charles Schwab.
James holds a bachelor’s degree in U.S. history from Harvard University. He is an active member of the Boston Securities Traders Association.
