Michael Maloney joined D.A. Davidson in 2012 as a public finance banker with prior experience at a nationally recognized municipal advisory firm. His practice focuses on economic development project financing for municipal entities, public-private partnerships, joint action agencies, special taxing authorities, and business entities pursuing expansions and incentives. This work includes providing creative financing solutions and complex analyses for cities, counties, rural/regional water utilities, municipal electric utilities and start-up fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) providers.

Through this broad transactional work experience, he is uniquely positioned and has been successful in guiding both legal counsel and consulting entities through structuring opportunities in various states as they evaluate nuanced and state-specific frameworks for successfully executing complex financings.
Michael holds a bachelor's degree from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, and holds Series 7, 50, 52 and 63 securities licenses.
