David Trageser joined D.A. Davidson & Co. in 2007 as a Senior Vice President in the Public Finance department, becoming Managing Director in 2013. He has been in the local public finance business for 32 years, originating over $6 billion of tax-exempt financing. Previously, he was with Banc of America Securities for 7 years and with Dain Rauscher Inc. for 15 years. He has been the lead banker for over 50 Washington local government issuers and 400 financings.
David specializes in general municipal finance for cities, counties, school districts, fire districts, water and sewer districts, and other special districts. A partial list of his clients includes the cities of Aberdeen, Bainbridge Island, Burlington, Bellingham, Bremerton, Ferndale, Fife, Gig Harbor, Kent, Lacey, Lake Stevens, Monroe, Mukilteo, Newcastle, Port Orchard, Puyallup, Seattle, Shelton, Sumner, Tacoma, Toppenish, Tumwater, University Place, and Wenatchee, among others.
David has Series 7, Series 53, and Series 63 licenses. He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Pacific Lutheran University and an MBA from Seattle University. He regularly volunteers for a variety of governmental organizations and nonprofit boards including WFOA and WMTA..
