Jere McGuffee joined D.A. Davidson in July 2024. Jere specializes in devising creative financing techniques to meet the needs of municipal and for-profit clients, with over 35 years of experience in the business with both public and private companies. These techniques include escrow optimization and restructuring, monetization of debt service funds and forward issuance of bonds, purchase in lieu of redemptions and tender of outstanding bonds as well as interest rate swaps.
Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Jere spent his career both in the Southeast as well as on Wall Street working with regional, national, and international firms such as Ernst & Young, Morgan Keegan, Bear Stearns, and Deutsche Bank. Most recently, Jere was the Head of the Eastern Region, Affordable Housing, and Transportation teams for both governmental and specialty business units at Piper Sandler and served on the Operating Committee for Public Finance.
Jere has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Memphis State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University. He holds a General Securities Registered Representatives Series 7 License and Municipal Securities Series 50, 52, 53, 54 and 63 licenses. Jere serves on the Municipal Securities Committee of SIFMA and is a past Chair of the Board of Trustees at St. George’s Independent School in Collierville, Tennessee.
