Ben Vera is a Director in the Development Finance Group at D.A. Davidson. Prior to joining D.A. Davidson, Ben founded Cardinal Capital Advisors, advising real estate developers in large-scale, mixed-use, and master-planned commercial and for sale residential projects, guiding them in the structuring, offering and sale of tax incentives and special district debt. Prior to founding Cardinal Capital, Ben was a Vice President at CIM Group, where he led public finance capital markets strategy and execution. During his time there, he oversaw the structuring and sale of more than $850 million in project specific property and sales tax secured, tax-exempt bonds for Centennial Yards (Atlanta) and Miami Worldcenter (Miami). Before joining CIM Group, Ben served as a Vice President and Head of Business Development at Piper Sandler in their Special District Investment Banking Group, growing the firm’s footprint across the United States. He began his career at MacKay Shields, a boutique fixed-income asset manager, in their Los Angeles office.
